Vision Mill Architects is currently investigating the possibility of redeveloping The Vicarage, Church Street, Stroud on behalf of the new The Diocese of Gloucestershire and partner developer.
The existing Vicarage building is suffering from severe structural issues that are beyond economic repair. A scheme has been developed to replace the existing Vicarage and, given the size and location of the site, the possibility of providing town centre accommodation has also been explored.
The proposed development at The Vicarage, Stroud includes the creation of a replacement, purpose-built Vicarage, five 4-bedroom terraced houses and a coach house with two 1-bedroom units.
Following a pre-application consultation with Stroud District Council, an alternative scheme has been developed that includes 4 semi-detached 5-bedroom houses instead of the row of terraced houses .We would like to hear your comments on the proposal in general and to vote for your preferred option.
A Public Community Consultation for proposed development was held on 28th of September 2021. For those that were unable to attend in person the presentation has been made available to view online. Please see the presentation below and log your comments via the google form provided, so that we can collate them properly.
Your comments are important to us and will help us to revise and develop the design further before submitting a planning application to Stroud District Council.
Although it is unlikely that we will be able to respond to comments individually, all comments will be read and taken into consideration. Any concerns raised will be address within the revised design as best as possible.
You will have the opportunity to comment formally on the application via the Stroud District Council website once the planning application has been submitted.
